The Colosseum is the most visited attraction in Italy – and tickets sell out quickly, especially in high season. On this page you will find an overview of all available Colosseum tickets: from the low-priced standard admission and guided tours in various languages through to combo tickets with other top attractions in Rome.
Every Colosseum ticket automatically includes admission to the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill. Depending on the type of ticket, you also get access to the arena floor, an audio guide or a guided tour through the ancient ruins.
- Colosseum tickets (official website)
- Colosseum tickets with audio guide
- Rome Mini Pass with guaranteed time slot
- Colosseum tickets with a guided tour
- Colosseum combo tickets (incl. other attractions)
- Rome Tourist Card incl. Colosseum & Vatican Museums
Important: The official admission price is low, but the allocation of low-priced tickets is limited. Once these are sold out, often only tickets with additional services on external platforms remain. We therefore recommend booking early – especially for travel dates between March and October.
Note for young visitors: Admission to the Colosseum is free for everyone under 18. EU citizens up to and including the age of 25 pay a reduced price – but only on the official website and only while the allocation lasts. The tickets on this page apply to visitors aged 26 and over.

Time slot sold out? Rome Mini Pass with an availability guarantee
The most common problem at the Colosseum is not the price but the time slot: in high season the low-priced allocations are gone weeks in advance. That is exactly what the Rome Mini Pass from Turbopass is for – it combines the Colosseum ticket with a promise that no other provider on this page makes:
- Guaranteed time slot for the Colosseum if you book at least 72 hours before your visit
- Admission to the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill
- 48 hours of hop-on hop-off bus through Rome
- Discounts with partners in the city, for example 50% off the catacombs
- Digital pass, confirmation by email straight away
The guarantee applies from 72 hours in advance. If you book at shorter notice you still get the pass – but then the normal availability applies, as with all other providers.
The price is considerably higher than for a Colosseum ticket alone – in return, the 48-hour bus and the partner discounts are included. So the Mini Pass is worthwhile above all if your travel date is fixed, you do not want to leave the Colosseum to chance and you are planning several stops in Rome anyway. If you only want to see the Colosseum, one of the individual tickets above works out cheaper.

Tips for visiting the Colosseum
It is best to plan your visit for early in the morning or late in the afternoon – the queues are shorter then and the light is particularly good for photos. The Colosseum is also less crowded on rainy days.
Wear comfortable shoes, because the site including the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill is extensive and in places uneven. Expect a security check at the entrance: large backpacks and glass bottles are not allowed.
Allow at least 2–3 hours in total – one hour for the Colosseum itself and one to two hours for the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill.
